exciting news for 2026!
Since opening our year round location, we have watched our Adaptive Swim Program grow. Seeing our Swim Whisperers work with a variety of swimmers has become an essential part of our mission.
Generous grants from the Chartway Promise Foundation and the Veterans United Foundation now permit Tide Swim School to offer swimmers who qualify a 50% tuition scholarship for four months of adaptive swim lessons.
We will award these tuition scholarships up to the limit of our annual grant funding.

Swim Angelfish Certified: Specialized, Inclusive Lessons
At Tide Swim School, our Adaptive Swim Program is led by Swim Angelfish Certified instructors—a nationally recognized accreditation for teaching swim skills to children with special needs. This certification means our staff is trained to address the unique physical, sensory, and behavioral challenges some children face in the water, using proven strategies for success. You can trust that your child is learning in a safe, supportive, and tailored environment designed for progress and confidence.

Coach Brittany, a Ferrum College graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports and Exercise Science, has passionately dedicated the last four years to working with swimmers in the water. Now, with her new Swim Angelfish certification, she enhances her approach with patience, consistency, and specialized skills to serve a unique group of swimmers. Any day in the water is a good day!
